Consultants and the publishers of Trainers and Consultants Direct want to ensure that high standards of equal opportunities are maintained. NAVCA will take the following steps to promote equal opportunities in relation to TCD as follows:
• All of the consultants featured will have signed up to the NAVCA statement of values before their details are published online.
• Consultants will be excluded from TCD if they have been shown to have acted in a discriminatory way in their work, in accordance with the NAVCA complaints procedure.
• Steps will be taken to increase the numbers of consultants from under-represented groups to better meet the needs of the full range of voluntary and community organisations, and to promote equality of opportunity in self employment.
• Consultants will be expected to work with groups facing disadvantage in ways which they find helpful, appropriate and relevant.
• Comments are welcome from organisations or consultants, inviting them to draw attention to any way in which NAVCA can improve equal opportunities practice in relation to TCD.
