Stephen Blakemore started his career in learning and development in 1986 as a staff training officer in the Civil Service. Since then he has worked for large and small voluntary organisations including VSO (Voluntary Service Overseas). In 2000, he established his own consultancy and training business. Much of his work today is with overseas development and relief organisations, and he has led or contributed to training courses and workshops around the world. But he spends a proportion of his time working with small charities and voluntary groups in the UK. He has interest in youth work, the arts and media - in 2006 he was employed as Management Development Adviser at Tate Gallery in London. Stephen recently established No More Fruit Salad providing workshops and short courses for HR staff, trainers and facilitators, and publishing a free quarterly newsletter
